Salary / CTC: R 200 000 with KPI bonus if Targets have been reached (Depending on current earnings, qualifications, and experience)

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute blasting operations safely and on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant blasting regulations.
- Lead and train blasting teams to follow best practices.
- Develop blasting plans and select suitable materials and equipment.
- Monitor performance to improve efficiency and reduce impact.
- Collaborate with geology, engineering, and site teams.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety measures.
- Keep detailed records of blasting activities and compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or Blasting Engineering.
- An MBA will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in open cast blasting operations.
- Strong knowledge of blasting regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Valid open cast blasting certificate and relevant safety training.
