Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Shaft Mine Overseer to join a well-established mining company based in the North West province. As a Shaft Mine Overseer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all mining activities in a shaft mining operation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and achieving production targets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all mining activities in a shaft mining operation, including drilling, blasting, and loading of minerals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement production plans to achieve production targets.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and optimize production processes.
• Manage a team of mining personnel, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation related to mining activities.

Requirements: 

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency
• Minimum of 10 years` experience in Shaft logistics and operations of which 5 years must be in a Shift Supervisor/ Shaft Foreman position in the
  mining industry.
• Proven experience in managing the logistics and associated responsibilities for shafts will be advantageous.
• Previous Mine Overseer experience in sinking environment will be advantageous
• Sound knowledge of underground mining processes and equipment.
• Understanding of relevant mining regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office applications.
