About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client specializing in the Logistics industry is seeking an experienced Airfreight Export Controller to join their dynamic team in Kempton Park. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the export of goods by air, ensuring all documentation, customs clearance, and logistics arrangements are handled accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all airfreight export shipments
- Prepare and process export documentation
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and clients
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Handle bookings and space reservations with carriers
- Manage export-related queries and resolve shipment issues
- Ensure accurate billing and invoicing of export services
- Maintain communication with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Verify and submit relevant export permits or licenses if required
- Keep up to date with airfreight regulations and industry changes
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airfreight export operations
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, IATA regulations, and international customs procedures
- Proficient in preparing and processing export documentation (AWB, invoices, packing lists)
- Experience using freight forwarding systems (e.g., Cargowise, SAP, or similar)
- Familiarity with Dangerous Goods handling (DGR certification is an advantage)
- Ability to arrange bookings with airlines and manage cargo dispatch
- Skilled in shipment tracking and resolving delays or issues
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with clients, agents, and service providers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
