About the Role
A well-established construction and mining services operation is seeking an experienced Site Agent Earthworks to oversee and manage site-based earthworks activities. The role is responsible for the day-to-day execution, supervision, and control of earthworks operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control all earthworks activities including bulk earthworks, cut and fill, layerworks, platforms, and access roads
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Supervise site teams, foremen, operators, and subcontractors
- Coordinate plant, equipment, labour, and materials to achieve production targets
- Monitor daily and weekly progress and report against programme
- Work closely with planners, engineers, and project managers
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance on site
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and progress documentation
- Ensure quality standards are met and manage inspections and testing
- Address site challenges, risks, and variations proactively
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 10 years experience in civil construction with a strong focus on earthworks
- Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Supervisor
- Solid knowledge of bulk earthworks methods and heavy plant operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Qualifications
- Completed Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
