We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious certified CNC OPERATOR (with CAD/CAM) to join our operations team in Saldanha. A CNC Operator with CAD/CAM proficiency sets up, programs, and operates computer-controlled machines to fabricate precision parts from technical drawings. They use CAD/CAM software to develop toolpaths, select tooling, manage feeds/speeds, and inspect finished products for quality. Key requirements include 2 years of experience, strong math skills, blueprint reading, and safety compliance. Job Description & Key Responsibilities. Programming & Design : Use CAD/CAM software to create or modify programs for 3-5 axis milling/turning, including toolpath generation. Machine Setup : Load raw materials, install/align tools, fixtures, and accessories, and set offsets. Operation : Run CNC machines, monitor production for efficiency, and make real-time adjustments (speeds/feeds). Quality Control : Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure they meet specifications. Maintenance : Perform routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance. Required Skills and Abilities Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of G-code/M-code programming and CNC machining processes (milling, turning, drilling). Software Expertise : Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360). Mathematical & Technical Skills : Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Mechanical Aptitude : Strong understanding of tooling, materials, and machine mechanics. Safety & Detail-Oriented : High attention to detail with a commitment to OSHA safety standards. Experience & Education. Experience : 2 years of hands-on experience in CNC machine operation, preferably including CAM programming, is standard.
