Job Summary

Hire Resolve`s client seeking a highly skilled Design Mechanical Engineer to join their team, specializing in water supply systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the field of water supply systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components for water supply projects, ensuring they meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate system safety, reliability, and performance, making necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Control and implement mechanical systems and products, ensuring installations and applications align with customer needs and safety standards.
  • Perform quality and performance analysis on equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to examine requirements for new equipment, calculate costs, and prepare budgets for project implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor`s degree (B.Eng./BSc.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Registration with the appropriate Engineering Regulatory Body (ERB).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Design Mechanical Engineer, with a focus on electrical installations for large water supply pumping systems.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing as a mechanical engineer for water supply systems, with involvement in at least 4 major bulk water transfer projects in the past 8 years.
  • Proven expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems for buildings, waterworks, and related infrastructure.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to mechanical engineering in water supply systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
