About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Centurion team as part of our Product Development department. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering high-quality designs that meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- 3D CAD models, designs, and presentations to clients
- Preparation of manufacturing and supplier part drawings
- Conduct concept and design reviews
- Manage and support the day-to-day design activities
- Provide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements
- Interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing
- Interface with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering to determine the most effective and economical use of materials and manufacturing processes
- Interface with the Product Regulation and Compliance staff to design products that meet government regulations, restrictions, and codes
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of design experience in mechanical engineering
BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering qualification
Ability to plan and execute project plans
Ability to guide and mentor other engineers
Innovative and self-driven approach to problem solving
Hands-on approach to problem solving
Readily able to adjust to changing priorities
