About the Role
Hospitality and Outdoor New Vacancy – Maintenance Technician 5-Star Boutique Hotel Sandton, Gauteng We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join a well-run hospitality property. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the hotel and villas, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily maintenance checks across the hotel and villas
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to urgent repairs
- Handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and machinery are well maintained
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and service providers when required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Support the hotel team with all facility-related needs
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and inventory levels
- Liaise with suppliers regarding tools, equipment, and maintenance requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or Handyman (hospitality experience advantageous)
- Strong skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
- Valid drivers license preferred
- Computer literate
- Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance tasks
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Reliable; responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision
