About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client, a prestigious law firm based in Sandton, is seeking a Senior Legal Specialist with expertise in Property Law to join their team. As a Senior Legal Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert legal support and guidance in property-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and drafting legal documents related to property transactions, such as leases, contracts, agreements, and deeds.
- Conducting legal research and analysis on property law issues and providing recommendations to management.
- Negotiating and settling property disputes, including boundary disputes, easements, and zoning issues.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including real estate professionals, to provide legal guidance on property-related matters.
- Monitoring legislative changes and ensuring compliance with property laws and regulations.
- Representing the company in legal proceedings related to property law, including court appearances and arbitrations.
- Training and mentoring junior legal staff on property law issues and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property law, with a focus on commercial and residential real estate transactions.
- Strong knowledge of property law principles, including conveyancing, land use, and zoning regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Admitted as an attorney in South Africa.
