The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving the overall architecture of complex software systems. Operating at a Master-level seniority, this role makes high-level decisions on technologies, frameworks, and system integrations to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.

The architect plays a critical leadership role, bridging business strategy and technical execution while guiding delivery teams through complex implementation challenges.

• Define and evolve enterprise and solution architectures across multiple platforms and domains

• Design scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable system architectures

• Establish and enforce technical standards, architecture principles, and governance frameworks

• Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance across delivery teams

• Ensure system designs meet scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability requirements

• Guide engineering teams during implementation and resolve complex technical issues

• Lead architecture reviews and provide oversight across multiple initiatives

• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their relevance to business objectives

• Drive technology roadmaps, modernisation initiatives, and long-term architectural vision

• Collaborate with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to ensure alignment

• Mentor senior engineers and architects, raising overall architectural maturity

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect / Software Architect in complex environments

• Strong expertise in:

  • Distributed systems and microservices architecture

  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architectures)

  • Security, performance, and scalability design

• Proven experience establishing architecture governance and standards

• Ability to balance strategic vision with practical delivery

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Qualifications

• Architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect)

• Experience in large-scale digital transformation programmes

• Background in DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud-native platforms
