Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Wireman to assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels and switchgear assemblies based on wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical components and safe working practices within a workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and wire control panels, distribution boards, and electrical enclosures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout plans.
• Install and connect electrical components such as relays, circuit breakers, PLCs, terminals, and switches.
• Cuts, strips, crimps, and routes wires neatly and to specification.
• Perform electrical testing and fault-finding on completed panels.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other workshop staff to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Document any modifications or deviations from standard designs.

Skills & Experience:

• Education: Relevant technical qualification (e.g., N3/N4 Electrical Engineering, Trade Certificate in Electrical or Panel Wiring).
• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in panel wiring or electrical assembly.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good understanding of electrical components and systems.
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices in an electrical environment.
• Advantageous: Experience with PLC wiring, automation systems, or industrial panels.
