Job Description

Edutech Institute is on a mission to close the learning gap in South Africa and across Africa through data-driven and adaptive learning platforms focused on pedagogy integration. Currently impacting nearly 25,000 learners locally and over 20 million globally through partnerships with Educational Initiatives (Ei), Edutech aims to scale its impact 100x.

The Academic Consultant will play a critical role in driving the adoption, implementation, and sustained use of Ei programs in partner schools. This role blends strong pedagogical expertise with consultative engagement to support measurable improvements in teaching and learning outcomes.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

School Engagement & Implementation

  • Ensure high utilisation of Ei programs in allocated schools

  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and review meetings

  • Lead engagements with principals, teachers, and coordinators

  • Act as SPOC for assigned schools and manage issue resolution in collaboration with product, tech, and sales teams

Data-Driven Academic Support

  • Analyse student and teacher performance data

  • Identify trends, gaps, and actionable insights

  • Guide schools in using diagnostic tools, competency reports, and misconception analysis

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collect and act on feedback from teachers, students, parents, and school leadership

  • Support sales teams with academic expertise during onboarding and retention

Capacity Building

  • Train educators to build self-sufficiency within Eis ecosystem

  • Promote best practices in competency-based and data-driven instruction
