Job Summary
Requirements:
- Matric qualification,
- A minimum of 1-year hands-on polishing experience.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong time management and physical stamina.
- Proficient in polishing techniques such as rotary, manual flatting and orbital or dual-action polishing.
- Knowledge of paint mixing and utilizing scales when required.
- Flexible, adaptable and well-versed in the latest polishing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform mental mathematical calculations.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Execute daily polishing tasks and ensure consumables are pre-ordered.
- Prepare aircraft components for paint application or touch-ups using masking, sanding, buffing and polishing techniques.
- Inspect components for damages or defects before and after polishing to maintain quality standards.
- Polish components to achieve a high gloss finish using specialized tools and equipment.
- Remove imperfections such as scratches and swirl marks while adhering to strict quality standards.
- Apply wax, sealants and other protective coatings to enhance the finish`s appearance and durability.
- Maintain traceability documentation for all components handled.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous waste materials.
- Uphold cleanliness and housekeeping standards in line with the company’s 5S policy.
