Job Summary
Requirements:
- Matric qualification.
- A minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in aircraft preparation.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong time management and physical stamina.
- In-depth knowledge of preparation methods, including rotary and manual flatting techniques.
- Ability to use flatting papers and perform inspection criteria.
- Flexible, adaptable and up to date with preparation processes.
- Strong mathematical skills for quick mental calculations.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks as per daily schedule and ensure consumables are pre-ordered.
- Prepare aircraft components for paint application through masking, sanding, buffing, and spot priming; occasionally use body filling and defect repair methods.
- Inspect components for damages or defects before and after preparation to ensure quality standards.
- Remove scratches, swirl marks, and other imperfections from prepared surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
- Maintain traceability documentation for all components from start to finish.
- Adhere to hazardous waste handling protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Uphold high housekeeping standards in line with the company’s 5S policy.
