About the Role

The Production Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating daily mining production activities to meet ROM and waste targets, ensuring continuous production flow and optimal equipment utilisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate daily mining production activities to meet ROM and waste targets
  • Oversee drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling operations
  • Ensure continuous production flow and optimal equipment utilisation
  • Conduct inspections and investigate incidents, stopping unsafe work where necessary
  • Lead and supervise production supervisors, operators, and contractors
  • Coordinate shift activities and ensure effective handovers
  • Manage labour performance, discipline, and attendance
  • Monitor fleet availability and coordinate with engineering teams
  • Track downtime, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements
  • Prepare and review daily production reports and KPIs

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in mining operations or a related field
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Proven track record of ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards
  • Valid CODE B driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Relevant experience in mining operations or a related field

Salary & Benefits

Salary: R 14000 – R 25000 per annum
