About the Role

We are partnering with a new intimate Bush Camp in Zambia to recruit an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager. This role is ideal for an experienced lodge operator with strong systems knowledge, sound HR understanding, and the ability to support digital marketing and brand presence, while acting as a solid 2IC on a remote property. We are looking for a grounded, hands-on leader who can bring stability to a new opening, support the GM in building a cohesive team, and confidently represent the lodge with guests, suppliers, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day lodge operations
Implement robust systems and routines
Lead, motivate, and upskill diverse teams
Support digital marketing efforts for high-end safari or hospitality brands
Engage with guests, local communities, and senior stakeholders

Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience in luxury safari lodge or boutique hotel operations
Strong working knowledge of ResRequest, TallOrder, and integrated accounting or ERP platforms
Proven hands-on experience in day-to-day lodge operations
Solid understanding of HR processes, labour basics, and disciplinary procedures
Ability to engage with guests, local communities, and senior stakeholders

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business, or similar is essential for visa purposes
