About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Lodge Manager to join our luxury lodge in Kruger National Park. As a key member of our operations team, you will support the Lodge Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the smooth running of our five-star establishment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lodge Manager in overseeing overall lodge operations
  • Deliver outstanding guest service, ensuring a warm, personalised experience
  • Train and manage lodge staff to meet service standards
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, maintenance, and landscaping
  • Oversee stock control, order management, and financial administration
  • Manage concierge and reception administration
  • Maintain guest databases to support service excellence
  • Ensure guest areas and service spaces are organised and presentable
  • Uphold the quality and care of all lodge equipment and products

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years hospitality experience, including at least 2 years in an assistant managerial or trainee role at a five-star lodge or hotel
  • Strong Food & Beverage knowledge
  • Competency in financial management
  • Passion for hospitality and commitment to service excellence
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergies
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong English communication skills; additional languages advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet applications
