About the Role

Sagen Advisory, a fast-growing medium-sized accounting and tax firm in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a portfolio of clients, handling bookkeeping, accounting, and statutory needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data capturing on Pastel/Accfin (secretarial program)
  • Preparation of financial statements on Draftworx
  • Submission of tax returns for individuals/trusts and companies
  • Calculation of VAT/PAYE/IRP5 reconciliations/Compensation Commissioner and submission of returns
  • Ad hoc accounting and tax work
  • Client interaction and relations

Requirements

  • Experience in a firm environment
  • Bookkeeping or Accounting experience within a firm environment
  • Experience with Draftworx, Caseware (advantageous)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role

Qualifications

  • Qualified by Experience
  • Matric
  • Degree, Certificate, Diploma in Accounting (added benefit)

Salary & Benefits

R200,000 to R300,000 pa ctc, negotiable on experience.
