Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Auditor for their team in Brisbane, Australia.

Location: Brisbane, Australia

Requirements:

1. Commerce or Business degree majoring in accounting,
2. completed your CA/CPA.
3. 3 years’ experience (at least) as an External Auditor, ideally within a mid-tier or top-tier audit firm
4. An understanding of assurance/audit skills and of audit techniques and methods 
5. An understanding of IFRS or Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), Australian Auditing Standards (ASA) and relevant legislation applicable to assurance engagements 
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
7. Exceptional client skills, including the ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with the client and a proactive approach to managing client expectations and the assurance engagement
8. Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office

About:

• Liaising with clients concerning audit and accounting queries
• Collating and documenting audit evidence over material balances and transactions recorded in financial reports
• Drafting of annual financial reports
• Conducting and documenting audit planning and completion procedures
• Conducting statutory audits with general-purpose financial reporting
• Assisting senior staff with ad-hoc assignments
• Reviewing audit work papers prepared over straightforward areas by junior audit staff
• Completing other assurance engagements as they arise
