• At least 1–2 years’ experience in a similar position (board cutting or timber yard).
• Knowledge of board types, timber products, and hardware materials.
• Ability to read measurements accurately and use measuring tools.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of saw operation.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift/build materials and stand for extended periods
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical strength

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and interpret customer cutting instructions accurately.
• Measure, mark, and cut boards, chipboard, MDF, and timber to specified sizes.
• Operate and maintain cutting machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all cuts are precise and meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Assist customers with loading and handling of cut materials.
• Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance on cutting equipment.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Report any damaged stock, faulty machinery, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Support general yard duties when required (e.g., offloading deliveries, stacking boards).
