Job Title : Business Development Officer – SENIOR
Location : Rosebank, Johannesburg
Position Type : Permanent, In-office
Reporting To : Management Team

Job Description:
A Finance Corporation is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team in Rosebank. This full-time, in-office role will play a crucial part in driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives and financial analysis.

Duties:
New business development for both Asset and Finance Corporation.
Client liaison and relationship management.
Supplier and partner liaison.
Assessing and analysing client information for funding applications.
Conducting thorough financial analysis and assessment of credit requests, including new facilities, amendments, refinances and due diligence.
Preparing and presenting financial analysis, findings and recommendations to management, particularly relating to borrower affordability and repayment ability.
Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal credit policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote the company’s financial products.
Monitor and analyse financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with team members and customers to understand their financial needs.
Maintain precise financial records for reporting purposes.
Provide valuable financial advice to support decision-making processes.
Stay updated on market trends and industry developments.

Applicant Requirements:
Business Development: 2 to 3 years experience within asset finance or financial services.
Financials: 2 to 3 years experience in financial analysis / credit assessment.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
High attention to detail and strong documentation standards.
BCom in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
Knowledge of asset finance and/or aviation finance is advantageous.
