About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cash Book Controller to join our team at Career Pathfinders’ Luxury 4* Golf Resort in Hazyview, Mpumalanga. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, while also providing excellent administrative support to the rest of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Full cash book control functions for Share Block and Homeowners Association.
- Daily cash ups from reception, check and balance credit cards with settlement amount and check receptionist control account daily.
- Capture of receipts from bank statements and allocation to customer accounts daily.
- Cash up in respect of reception and Pro Shop revenue (at least weekly).
- Prepare banking of cash after cash up in co-ordination with C I T contractor weekly.
- Invoicing Pro Shop revenue after cash up.
- Assistance with capturing payments when needed.
- Bank reconciliations with bank statements.
- Control of Petty Cash and additional float.
- Outsource invoices issued monthly.
- Intercompany invoices/credit notes of revenue transfers and consolidating to loan accounts monthly.
- Sundry account summary monthly.
- Capturing monthly journals for F C.
- Submit and control insurance claims and insurance payouts and recover excesses.
- Submit capex documentation and distribute approved documentation.
- Assist F C with month end reporting packs balancing and preparation.
- Assisting rest of department as and when needed.
Requirements
- Excellent administrative skills
- Excellent communication abilities (People’s person)
- Fully bilingual, both spoken and written
- Motivated self-starter and strong on meeting deadline
- Computer literacy MS Office, Word, Excel, Accounting software knowledge compulsory
- QSA knowledge would be advantageous
- Very good overall knowledge of accounting and VAT
- Minimum of five years’ experience in similar accounting position
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 Post matric qualification in accounting/accounting software e.g. N6, etc.
