CLUB GENERAL MANAGER | LUXURY WELLNESS & FITNESS CENTRE Cape Town | Eastern Cape | KZN | Gauteng R35,000 – R65,000 (Negotiable DOE) Medical Aid Provident Risk Benefits 20% Annual Incentive Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Club General Manager to lead a premium luxury wellness and fitness centre. This is a senior leadership role for a commercially astute, people-focused manager passionate about changing lives through holistic wellness. Your Purpose • Build and lead a thriving social wellness community • Take full ownership of the operational and commercial performance of the club • Drive member engagement, retention and brand excellence • Lead high-performance teams aligned to strong service values • Deliver exceptional, memorable member experiences every day Commercial Management • Full P&L ownership including revenue, EBITDA and cost control • Drive sales acquisition, member retention and ancillary revenue streams • Manage capital investment projects and ROI • Actively reduce member churn through engagement strategies • Ensure compliance with company standards, audits and risk controls Facility Management • Maintain a premium, luxury club environment at all times • Oversee operations, health & safety and maintenance standards • Ensure preventative maintenance is implemented and signed off • Manage utilities, equipment and brand presentation People Management • Recruit, develop and lead high-performing teams • Manage tenants, contractors and service partners • Drive staff engagement, training and development • Apply performance management across all departments • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and code of conduct Member Experience & Service • Lead teams to deliver exceptional, personalised member experiences • Ensure staff build strong relationships with members • Resolve queries and complaints with sound judgement and care • Deliver consistent moments of delight and “wow” experiences • Drive the holistic social wellness strategy within the club Competitor & Market Analysis • Monitor competitor activity and market trends • Identify risks and opportunities • Report insights to senior leadership ✅ Minimum Requirements • Matric (NSC) – essential • Relevant tertiary qualification (Business / Hospitality / Retail) – NQF 7 • Minimum 6 years as a Club General Manager or General Manager • Experience in premium or luxury hospitality, wellness, country club or retail environments • Strong commercial and financial acumen • Proven entrepreneurial mindset • Solid project management experience • Excellent understanding of local market and demographics • Minimum 4 years people management experience • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills • Strong HR knowledge: recruitment, performance management, coaching • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments • High emotional intelligence and leadership maturity ⏳ Shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
