Our client which is a South African mining and minerals commodity trading company established two years ago and part of a large international commodity trading company requires the services of an experienced COAL TRADER: anthracite, bituminous, subbituminous, and lignite

Successful candidate can work in any of the following areas:

Middleburg, Pretoria or Sandton

Salary: Market related

ESSENTIALS FOR THE ROLE:

• 2- 7 years MAX experience IN COAL TRADING (Client is looking for a younger person to complement their team)
• Focus on LOCAL market mines and customers
• Good understanding of COAL SPECIFICATIONS
• Good understanding of the SUPPLY CHAINS FROM THE MINES TO THE CUSTOMERS
• Commercial experience particularly in CONTRACTS AND PRICING methodologies
• Reasonable understanding of risk across the board in terms of MARKET RISK, CREDIT RISK AND SUPPLY CHAIN RISK
• Must have a strong focus on SALES rather than operations
