Job Title: Complex Food & Beverage Manager Location: Nigeria Reports To: Operations Manager Department: Food & Beverage Contract Type: Full Time Position Summary An exceptional opportunity exists for a highly experienced and dynamic Complex Food & Beverage Manager to lead and oversee the full spectrum of Food & Beverage operations within a premier golf and lifestyle estate in Nigeria. This leadership position encompasses the strategic direction, operational excellence, financial performance, and guest experience management of multiple F&B outlets, restaurants, and conferencing facilities. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with a proven track record in luxury hospitality or resort management, a deep understanding of culinary and service standards, and the ability to motivate and inspire large, diverse teams toward excellence. Please note that my client is very spacifically looking to recruit a Zimbabwean National / Citizen for this role Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee the daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets, including multiple restaurants, bars, cafés, and event venues. Maintain consistent service excellence, ambiance, and culinary standards across all outlets. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and outlet managers to ensure menu innovation, consistency, and quality presentation. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all service areas to guarantee seamless and uniform guest experiences. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and sustainability. Team Development & People Management Lead, train, and mentor a multi-outlet Food & Beverage team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability. Conduct performance reviews, skills development sessions, and succession planning to foster career growth and team motivation. Coordinate regular communication and alignment meetings with department heads and outlet supervisors. Encourage a positive, guest-centric work environment rooted in teamwork, respect, and service passion. Financial Management Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring revenue targets and cost control measures are met. Monitor key performance indicators such as cost of sales, wage percentages, inventory levels, and profitability per outlet. Partner with the Finance Department to forecast revenues, analyze variances, and implement corrective action plans. Apply menu engineering techniques to maximize profitability while maintaining high quality and value perception. Oversee supplier relationships, purchasing, and inventory control processes to minimize waste and ensure efficiency. Events, Banqueting & Conferencing Manage all Food & Beverage aspects of corporate events, weddings, retreats, and private functions. Work closely with the Sales and Events teams to ensure smooth execution and memorable guest experiences. Create flexible banquet, conference, and event menus tailored to diverse client needs. Supervise setup, service, and breakdown of events, ensuring operational excellence at every stage. Systems & Administration Utilize MICROS for POS management, data reporting, and transaction accuracy. Interface with Opera PMS for guest billing, room charge integration, and revenue tracking. Ensure accuracy and integrity of all F&B-related data, including daily sales reporting, stock movement, and month-end reconciliations. Prepare management reports highlighting performance metrics, challenges, and improvement plans. Requirements Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior Food & Beverage management role within a hotel, resort, or golf estate. Demonstrated success in managing multiple outlets and large-scale events . Proficiency in MICROS (POS) and Opera PMS systems is essential. Strong financial acumen and proven ability to manage budgets and control costs. Outstanding leadership and communication skills , with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively. Solid understanding of luxury service standards and guest experience management. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills , with the ability to thrive under pressure. A Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent tertiary education is advantageous. Personal Attributes Professional, composed, and solutions-oriented.
