Conservation Manager 〰 Big 5 Reserve Greater Kruger Join one of South Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations! Lead conservation efforts, protect endangered species, and maintain the ecological integrity of a Big 5 reserve. Work in a hands-on, dynamic environment where your leadership directly impacts wildlife and the guest experience. ✨ Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage conservation programs across the reserve Develop & implement management plans, fire regimes & restoration projects Monitor ecosystems, species populations & research initiatives Oversee data collection & analysis using Earth Ranger, GIS & drone technology Liaise with stakeholders, local communities & conservation organizations Ensure compliance with national & international conservation legislation ✅ ✅ Requirements: Master’s degree in applied ecology, environmental science, conservation biology, or related field (PhD an advantage) 8 years in conservation management in a Big 5 environment Experience in veld management, ecological restoration, research programs & wildlife management Strong leadership & multi-project management skills Excellent communication skills; English required, Afrikaans & Shangaan advantageous Proficiency in MS Office, GIS, Earth Ranger, drones & camera traps Firearm competency (bolt action) & valid driver’s license (code 10 preferred) Details: Salary: R45,000 – R50,000 Accommodation & Provident Fund included 21-day on / 7-day off rotation ⚡ Flexibility required — evenings, weekends & emergencies Ready to make a real impact in conservation while leading a world-renowned safari reserve?
