About the Role
The Country Finance Manager role at Edgexec (Pty) Ltd is a hands-on finance leadership position for a commercially astute professional ready to strengthen governance and drive disciplined decision-making in a complex operating environment. The position offers real influence at the country level, with direct impact on performance, controls, and strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for country-level finance operations, including accounting, reporting, and compliance
- Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and accounting standards
- Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting
- Act as a commercial finance partner to country leadership, supporting decisions with insight and analysis
- Drive improved financial discipline and forward-looking financial management
- Lead, manage, and develop a local finance team of 35 professionals
- Ensure alignment and seamless reporting into the regional finance structure
- Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Strong, hands-on finance leadership experience within Africa
Proven ability to drive change, not just report results
Commercial mindset with confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders
Experience operating in developing or imperfect environments
French language capability strongly preferred
Exposure to logistics, shipping, or operationally intensive sectors is advantageous
ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification (experience takes precedence)
