About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled DTP Operator to join their team. As a DTP Operator, you will be responsible for receiving production orders, setting up printers, and ensuring high-quality printing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive production orders and job assignments from supervisor.
- Read job orders to verify substrate and quantity to be printed.
- Solve imaging problems and make adjustments to mechanical operations of the device.
- Set up printers according to established company guidelines, safety, and job requirements.
- Complete production records.
- Ensure proper cleanliness of printers, workstations, and immediate areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to suppliers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Understand digital ink systems.
