Job Description

Our client has an opportunity available for a DTP Operator.

Requirements:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to suppliers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Understand digital ink systems.
Good understanding of digital subtrates.

Responsibilities:

Receive production orders and job assignments from supervisor.
Read job orders to verify substrate and quantity to be printed.
Solve imaging problems and make adjustments to mechanical operations of the device.
Set up printers according to established company guidelines, safety, and job requirements.
Complete production records.
Ensure proper cleanliness of printers, workstations, and immediate areas.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
