About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and youthful Assistant Lodge Manager / Front Office Duty Manager / Guest Relations Manager to join our exclusive 5-star Breede Valley Retreat & Spa. Located in the heart of the Breede River, our luxury retreat & spa offers breathtaking panoramic mountain views and magnificent accommodation with international standards. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for daily operations and overseeing Front Desk Reception, Reservations, Concierge, Guest Relations, Housekeeping, and F&B when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front desk reception and ensure seamless guest experiences
- Oversee reservations, concierge services, and room assignments
- Coordinate with housekeeping and F&B teams to deliver exceptional guest services
- Perform daily operations, including managing cash handling, billing, and financial transactions
- Ensure excellent communication skills and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate records and report any issues or concerns to management
Requirements
- At least 4 – 5 years relevant experience within a luxury hotel environment
- Hotel / Hospitality Management qualification or similar managerial training is essential
- Valid SA driver’s license essential
- Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans (Afrikaans mother tongue ideally)
- Protel PMS Front Office Systems knowledge essential
