About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and youthful ASSISTANT LODGE MANAGER / FRONT OFFICE DUTY MANAGER / GUEST RELATIONS MGR to take on responsibilities for daily operations at our luxurious 5* Breede Valley Retreat & Spa. Located in the heart of the Breede River, this beautiful property offers 360-degree panoramic mountain views and magnificent accommodation with international standards comprising individual private villas for a maximum of 16 guests. As Assistant Lodge Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing Front Desk Reception, Reservations, Concierge, Guest Relations, Housekeeping, and F&B when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage front office operations, including check-in/check-out procedures, room assignments, and payment processing
  • Oversee daily guest relations activities, including handling guest complaints and resolving issues
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in Protel PMS Front Office Systems
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • At least 4 – 5 years relevant experience within a luxury hotel environment
  • Hotel / Hospitality Management qualification or similar managerial training is essential
  • Valid SA driver’s license essential
  • Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans (Afrikaans mother tongue ideally)
  • Protel PMS Front Office Systems knowledge essential
