About the Role
Our client, Telebest, is seeking an experienced Electrician to join their team in the Durban area. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults on low voltage transformers and equipment, as well as inspecting, testing, maintaining, and commissioning high voltage transformers. With a strong background in electrical work and excellent problem-solving skills, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults on low voltage transformers and equipment
- Inspect, test, maintain, and commission high voltage transformers
- Maintain AC drive units
- Repair three phase AC motor control gear
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Minimum N3 (in the respective trade)
- Trade Test (electrical)
- 5 years post-trade test relevant experience
- Willingness to work overtime and be on standby duty
- Successful candidate must also have their own transport
- Knowledge and competent in the use and programming of PLCs
