About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to join our luxury boutique hotel team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service delivery to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and supervising housekeeping staff
- Ensure inter-departmental co-operation and collaborate with other departments to achieve maximum effectiveness
- Conduct daily checks on rooms and facilities to ensure standards are met and operational timings are adhered to
- Keep records, perform stocktaking exercises, and control of Housekeeping supplies, equipment, linen, and uniforms
- Prepare housekeepers’ work duty lists, distribute master keys, and ensure keys are returned at the end of every shift
- Maintain excellent relationships with guests and perform additional management duties within the lodge environment
- Report maintenance defects to the Maintenance Department in a timely manner
- Perform additional duties as deemed fit by Senior Management
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position within a 5-star luxury property
- Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer literacy
- Leadership experience
- Strong training skills and experience
- Effective rostering abilities
- Knowledgeable with the controlling of expenses and inventories
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
