Who We’re Looking For:
Camps Bay Retreat is a hidden gem set against the backdrop of the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range and the Atlantic Ocean, offering a perfect blend of luxury and nature in the heart of Camps Bay. This boutique hotel is surrounded by expansive gardens, ancient trees, and flowing waterfalls, providing an oasis of calm. Camps Bay Retreat is seeking a skilled Service Supervisor to join their team of culinary excellence. You will oversee daily restaurant operations, manage staff performance, ensure top-quality service, and support initiatives that align with our brands commitment to excellence. As the assistant Restaurant Manager, your responsibilities will include supervising front-of-house staff, ensuring adherence to safety and service standards, managing inventory, and optimising workflow for peak efficiency. Youll play a pivotal role in training and mentoring the team, ensuring that each guest enjoys a consistent, high-quality dining experience that reflects our dedication to taste, service, and atmosphere.
What Is Required:
Restaurant Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurants revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. To assist in the day to day running of the restaurant and to help ensure the Village N Life concepts, manuals, SOPs and logs are always kept current and implemented.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Must speak, read, write and understand English at a professional level
- Computer literate level 2 minimum experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook in particular)
- Accommodation Certificate/Hotel School diploma is advantageous.
- Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5-star hotel
- Familiar with all duties and procedures in a restaurant Environment
- MS Office (Word, Excel and Email) is essential
- Opera experience is advantageous
