Requirements:
- Grade 12 essential
- Must have a relevant tourism degree or diploma
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position is essential
- A minimum of 5 years in FIT essential
- Broadly traveled in Africa candidate essential
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience selling in African safaris with a proven track record of successful sales
- Must be proficient in TourPlan, ResRequest, Waybird or similar
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have knowledge of African destinations, wildlife, cultures, and current travel trends
- Must have strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks is essential
- Will need to be able to design and sell personalized safari itineraries that cater to the needs and interests of clients
- Will need to research, evaluate, and select appropriate suppliers such as hotels, lodges, camps, and transport providers
- Must be able to plan and coordinate complex bookings including flights, visas, and travel insurance
- Must be able to provide expert advice to clients on African destinations
- Must collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and business goals
- Must maintain accurate records of sales, payments, and other related documentation
