About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Gardener to join our team at an intimate private villa in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch. As a key member of our garden and landscaping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and sustainability of our outdoor spaces. If you have a passion for horticulture, enjoy working outdoors, and are committed to providing excellent service, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the veggie garden and indoor plants
- Assist the team with maintaining the garden
- Planting / plant maintenance
- Assess landscaped conditions to ensure a healthy growing environment
- Communicate accurately and timely to ensure speed of quality of services
- Maintain the gardens and landscapes ensuring plan growth, design and neatness in line with the aesthetic style
- Reduce any accident or damage to equipment, loss of tools and supplies
- Adhere to and maintain health and safety standards
Requirements
- Matric would be advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar environment
- Must be able to operate garden equipment and tools
- Familiar with mixing of soils and fertilisers
- Making and transplanting of seedlings and cuttings
