About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for a luxury safari lodge in Zambia. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of lodge operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and high-performing teams in a remote luxury safari environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop all lodge staff to ensure consistent service excellence
  • Oversee daily operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B
  • Manage lodge budgets, cost control, and financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction
  • Implement operational policies, procedures, and standards across all departments
  • Coordinate with department heads to deliver seamless guest experiences
  • Monitor and maintain lodge assets, equipment, vehicles, and facilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ senior management experience in a luxury safari lodge or 5-star hospitality environment. Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills. Excellent financial management and operational knowledge. Exceptional guest service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to a remote lodge environment.

Qualifications

Hospitality or management qualification advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $4000 – $5000 USD per annum. Live-in accommodation provided.
