Job Description

About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for a luxury safari lodge in Zambia. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of lodge operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and high-performing teams in a remote luxury safari environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop all lodge staff to ensure consistent service excellence
Oversee daily operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B
Manage lodge budgets, cost control, and financial performance
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction
Implement operational policies, procedures, and standards across all departments
Coordinate with department heads to deliver seamless guest experiences
Monitor and maintain lodge assets, equipment, vehicles, and facilities
Develop and execute strategies to maximize occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ senior management experience in a luxury safari lodge or 5-star hospitality environment. Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills. Excellent financial management and operational knowledge. Exceptional guest service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to a remote lodge environment.

Qualifications

Hospitality or management qualification advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $4000 – $5000 USD per annum. Live-in accommodation provided.
