About the Role
A luxury safari lodge opening in Namibia is recruiting a seasoned Head Chef to lead the culinary department and establish an exceptional dining standard aligned to a premium guest experience in a remote wilderness setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute seasonal, lodge-appropriate menus
- Lead, mentor, and manage the kitchen brigade
- Control food costs, stock management, and supplier relationships
- Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with lodge leadership on guest experiences and events
Requirements
- Qualified chef with 5+ years in a senior kitchen leadership role
- Lodge, fine-dining, or boutique hospitality background preferred
- Strong leadership, menu development, and cost control skills
- Excellent kitchen administration and organisational ability
- Comfortable working in a remote live-in environment
