About the Role
The Kitchen Supervisor role at HandPicked Recruitment is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned chef to lead a commercial kitchen team in Milnerton, Cape Town. As a key member of our filling station team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food production and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to set standards and recipes
- Take full charge of the kitchen operations at the filling station
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Manage kitchen cleanliness and hygiene at all times
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain efficient kitchen workflow and time management
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience (minimum 2+ years preferred)
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen or food service environment
- Ability to manage a kitchen independently
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Reliable, responsible, and well-organised
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Resides in or near Milnerton, Cape Town
