Are you a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in CSD production? A leading beverages group in the Democratic Republic of Congo is offering a rare opportunity for a Head Engineer to join its dynamic Production Department in Lubumbashi. As the Head Engineer, you will lead the technical operations across water and CSD lines, including utilities and process systems. The company offers shared accommodation, transport, and medical care, with a structured contract and paid leave benefits. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of bottled water and CSD production including RO, filtration, ozonation, UV, blowing, filling, labelling, packaging, and conveyors. Oversee utilities such as chillers, compressors, generators, boilers, cooling towers, and CO₂ plants. Lead design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment and systems. Supervise laboratory testing, equipment calibration, and personnel training. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Job Experience and Skills Required: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 15 years of experience in CSD production. Strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Proven leadership and problem-solving skills. Excellent English communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to commit to a 3-year contract. Valid passport (minimum 2 years), good health certificate, and required vaccinations. African experience is an advantage. Apply now!

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities: Oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production systems and utilities (RO plants, chillers, compressors, generators, boilers, cooling towers, and CO₂ plants). Manage all aspects of water and CSD production, including reverse osmosis, filtration, ozonation, UV, blowing, filling, labelling, packaging, and conveyors. Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring equipment calibration, reliability, and efficiency. Develop and implement SOPs for manufacturing and maintenance. Supervise laboratory testing and personnel training to ensure that quality standards are met. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving measures. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Requirements To Meet Prior To Applying: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 15 years experience in bottling and CSD plant operations. Strong expertise in reverse osmosis systems (operation, CIP, membrane replacement, and troubleshooting). Proven experience with utilities: Chillers, compressors, boilers, generators, cooling towers, and CO₂ plants. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in Africa is a strong advantage.
