Job Title: Innovation Lead for Naval Ship – Signatures & Vulnerability

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience in naval ship systems and vulnerability analysis.
• Strong understanding of radar cross-section, acoustic signatures, and stealth technology.
• Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
• Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial requirements:

• Proven leadership experience in a technical innovation role.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Lead research and development in ship signatures and vulnerability assessment techniques.
• Develop innovative solutions to improve naval ship security against detection and attack.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement new technologies in naval ship systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability studies to inform design decisions.
• Provide technical guidance on signature management during ship design and operational stages.
