About the Role

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full farm and packhouse operations of a stone fruit production facility, ensuring efficient end-to-end production from orchard to dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full farm and packhouse operations, ensuring efficient end-to-end production from orchard to dispatch
  • Manage stone fruit production activities including orchard management, cultivation, harvesting, and yield optimisation
  • Lead packhouse operations including grading, packing, cold storage, and quality control standards
  • Drive operational performance through budgeting, cost control, and achievement of production targets
  • Manage and develop farm and packhouse teams, ensuring strong leadership, coordination, and productivity across all units

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Business Management, or related field (beneficial)
  • 5 years experience in a senior management role within agriculture
  • Proven experience in stone fruit production, including orchard and farm operations, with exposure to a combined farm and packhouse environment (highly beneficial)
  • Computer Literate
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Valid drivers license
