Job Summary
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Agriculture or related discipline (not necessary but valued)
- Proven experience in farming, specifically with leafy greens, herbs, or similar crops.
- Knowledge of modern and traditional agricultural techniques, including hydroponics or greenhouse systems (preferred).
- Strong understanding of soil health, irrigation systems, and pest control methods.
- Ability to work in Riyadh’s climate conditions with a commitment to high-quality production.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Use of computer for data storage and reporting
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform hands-on farming tasks.
- Able to problem solve, work on own and use initiative
- Fluency in English
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Manage the full growth cycle of spinach, leafy greens, and herbs, including tissue/soil preparation, planting, germination, care, and harvest.
- Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions, including irrigation, temperature, humidity, and light levels.
- Apply sustainable agricultural practices, including crop rotation, organic fertilizers, irrigation systems and pest/disease management.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address plant health issues such as diseases, pests, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Maintain and operate farming equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Record and report data on crop performance, soil conditions, and environmental factors.
- Willingness to adapt to new technology and innovative practices
