About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lodge Manager to take the reins of our exclusive Private Safari Lodge in the Mjejane Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. As a 5* self-catering lodge, we require a multiskilled manager who is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating guest check ins and outs efficiently
- Fostering a welcoming and friendly environment ensuring guests are comfortable during their stay
- Ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction by tending to guest concerns and complaints
- Conducting game drives or arranging freelance guides for game drives when requested by guests
- Managing housekeeper and housekeeping duties
- Arranging relieve staff when needed
- Managing gardens, maintenance, and general lodge upkeep
- Arranging and overseeing lodge maintenance projects when necessary
Requirements
- Hospitality Management Diploma or equivalent
- Valid First Aid qualification
- FGASA qualifications will be an advantage
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Excellent operational experience encompassing every aspect of Lodge Management including HR, Admin, FOH & Guest Experience
- Ability to receive instruction and follow thought as required
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with guests, staff and shareholders
Qualifications
- Valid PDP
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
