About the Role
We are seeking a Management Couple to join our team at our luxury lodge in Welgevorden, South Africa. As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for managing and running the lodge, ensuring that all aspects of guest experience, staff welfare, health and safety, and training are met to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage lodge day-to-day finance and ensure budget forecasts are accurate.
- Facilitate daily meetings with managers and heads of department to discuss daily plans, including arrivals, departures, maintenance, food, special requests, bush banqueting, etc.
- Create an environment where quality and standards are continuously met and visible throughout the daily functioning of the lodge.
- Work with all heads of department to ensure that all operations are aligned to lodge quality standards and budgets are being met and monitored.
- Host agents, media, VIP groups, and general guests.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years lodge management experience in luxury establishments is essential.
- Excellent all-rounders with knowledge of all lodge aspects (Guiding, FOH, F&B, Maintenance, Finances, Operations, HR etc.) are required.
- Sustainability analysis, identifying ongoing opportunities for improvement and executing practical solutions for reducing environmental and community impact as per our sustainability guidelines.
- Financial management skills and experience with budget forecasting and ensuring the finance aspect of the lodge.
Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification in either Management or Hospitality is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Salary & Benefits
The successful candidate will be offered a salary range of R 50-60 000 per couple, depending on experience, with live-in accommodation and company benefits.
