Job Summary
NAIL-SPA THERAPIST
Colombo – SRI LANKA
START: A.S.A.P / (Visa-pending)
REPORT TO: Spa Director
CONTRACT: 2-years contract with option to renew
TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:
- Tuesday – Sunday 09:00 – 20:00
- 9-hour standard shift per day including breaks
- 1 day off per week (Sunday)
- 14 days annual paid leave (after 1 year completed service)
SALARY & COMPANY BENEFITS:
- $600 – 800$ (US Dollar) per month
- Commission generated on services performed and retail sold – paid out annually after completion of 1 year service (incentive bonus)
- Hourly overtime where operationally required
- Tips & Gratuities
- Accommodation – shared apartment
- Company transport (from accommodation to work & back)
- Visa provided by the company
- Recruitment flights
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Passport – valid for traveling
- Internationally accredited qualification in Beauty Therapy / Spa Therapy or Cosmetology
- CIDESCO / ITEC / CIBTAC / BABTAC / City & Guilds or similar international certification
- Grade 12 / Matric or similar high school senior certificate
EXPERIENCE:
- Confident command of the English Language (read, write & speak)
- Cruise Ship or other international employment experience – beneficial but not essential
- a MINIMUM of 3 years industry experience in a day spa
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Body Therapies (Massage, Exfoliation, Wraps)
- Manicure & Pedicure (Including Gel Polish) – this is essential to this role

- Facials (Manual)
- Waxing (Body & Face)
- Tinting & Beautifying
- Nail Art
- Hydra Facial
- Ear candling
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Team player working well with various nationalities and diverse group of spa professionals
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients, colleagues and management
- Open to learning and acquiring new skills when offered
- Maintains safety standards and cleanliness
- Maintains a consistent relationship with client base in order to ensure return clients
- Proactively develop new customers
- Attends and participates in continuing education and training in order to follow new trends and techniques
- Knowledge of Salon and Spa procedures
- Conduct salon and Spa services using appropriate product application as stated and trained.
