About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee front-of-house operations, mentor teams, and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a prestigious luxury private island resort in Madagascar. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering 5-star service in high-end hospitality settings and adapting to remote island living. This live-in role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the daily lives of our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth daily functioning and guest satisfaction
- Maintain and enhance service standards across all departments to deliver a seamless luxury experience
- Personally host guests, ensuring every interaction reflects professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail
- Mentor and provide guidance to teams, fostering a culture of service excellence
- Support the General Manager with operational decision-making and strategic planning
- Monitor and improve guest feedback systems to maintain consistent quality delivery
- Liaise with department heads to ensure cohesive and effective communication
- Oversee stock control, logistics, and cost management to maintain operational efficiency
Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior front-of-house or operations role within a luxury lodge, resort, or private island environment
- Strong leadership and team mentoring skills
- Exceptional guest relations and communication abilities
- Proven track record in delivering 5-star service in high-end hospitality settings
- Flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to remote island living
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience. Accommodation: Live-in provided. Meals, Wi-Fi, laundry service, and medical cover included. Two flights per annum.
