Job Summary
Minimum
Requirements:
5 years warehousing/stores experience, with at least 3 years at senior management level 8 years warehousing/stores experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level Experience within the mining and processing sector is preferred Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehouse Qualification from a recognized institution Valid Code 8 license Governance of company procurement policy Manage and monitor inventory by recording and tracking all inbound/outbound stock Oversee the capturing of all invoices, receipts, and deliveries Ensure accurate and timeous data entry of inbound stock on warehouse systems Conduct quarterly stock takes and reconcile with an inventory tracking system Analyse supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages Report discrepancies, late deliveries, and slow-moving stock, recommending corrective actions Perform warehousing audits to ensure compliance and identify inefficiencies Submit and motivate capital/strategic expenses to the Engineering Superintendent Understand and apply warehousing best practices Demonstrate auditing skills Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental standards Manage efficient store/warehousing operations, including: Receiving Storage Distribution Continuously plan, manage, and track stock levels Ensure safe handling of stock to minimize losses Optimise storage layout and capacity Keep goods secure, accessible, and audit-ready Maintain accurate documentation and warehouse records Ensure facilities are clean and neat Monitor regular and accurate stock counts Manage, oversee, and support team members in daily activities Maintain discipline in the work area (e.g. absenteeism, overtime, misconduct) Demonstrate coaching skills and effective team leadership Work under pressure and manage a multi-disciplinary team Apply relevant financial, technical, and legal knowledge Display a good understanding of supply chain processes Basic computer literacy, including MS Office and warehouse management systems Consultant: Jessie Gomes – Dante Personnel Greenstone
