About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team, responsible for managing financial operations and providing critical support to our commercial teams, marketers, and farmers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and process all financial entries, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions for daily operations
  • Process account sales, issue custom or commercial invoices, and reconcile cash payments from customers
  • Monitor outstanding debt daily
  • Assist with onboarding new clients, vendors, and producers to our financial systems
  • Manage customer databases, process sales orders, and handle sales administration tasks
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with new and existing clients and producers
  • Handle general office duties, manage correspondence, and assist with financial and operational tasks like stock control and claims
  • Support stock control, claims, stock counts, and potentially packaging and equipment planning

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in a high-volume environment

Relevant finance qualification

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero)

Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
