About the Role
The Product Life Cycle Manager â Embedded Computing Systems is a critical role that oversees the full lifecycle of a product group serving a specific customer. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a product team responsible for a defined product group
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks across hardware, software, and systems disciplines
- Ensure strong Quality Lifecycle Time-to-Customer (QLTC) performance towards the customer
- Act as the primary coordination point between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality departments
- Align internal teams, external partners, and customer expectations
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support structured stage-gate processes and participate in gate reviews
- Safeguard product performance, cost efficiency, manufacturability, and supply chain robustness
- Build strong stakeholder relationships through clear and effective communication
Requirements
- BSc, BEng, or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Physics
- Minimum 10 years experience in project or product management across the full product lifecycle
- Proven experience leading functional or multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of systems integrating hardware and software
- Familiarity with technical aspects of embedded product development
- Experience with stage-gating processes and structured product development methodologies
