Job Description

- Understand client requirements and perform quantity take–offs based on marking and RCP drawings.
- Prepare BOQ by analyzing specification sheets and identifying discrepancies between BOQ, drawings,
and contract conditions. - Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying cost–saving opportunities.
- Participate in pre–tender activities with clients, architects, and project managers, raising relevant pre–
bid queries. - Prepare initial quotes and contracts in coordination with the sales team.
- Collaborate with the design team to analyze architectural and service drawings.
- Manage the valuation of work done, handling claims and variations effectively.
- Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering exercises to optimize project outcomes.
- Prepare interim and final valuations, variations, and claims for the construction site.
- Provide regular progress reports to ensure transparency and accountability

- Bachelors degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in logistics facility
construction. - Proven experience working on construction projects in African markets.
- Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and standards.
- Proficiency in cost estimation, cost management techniques, and relevant software tools.
- Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects.
- Strong analytical and problem–solving skills with excellent negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex details.
