Eligibility: This role requires current legal authorization to work in Morocco as a resident; non-residents are not eligible. Applicants must currently reside in country.
We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to oversee all sourcing and procurement activities, with a focus on building strong supplier partnerships across Morocco. Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Procurement
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with company goals to ensure a stable product supply.
- Identify, evaluate, and engage Moroccan suppliers to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Monitor market trends to secure competitive pricing, drive cost savings, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle: supplier onboarding, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics to align procurement with business objectives and customer needs.
- Generate procurement reports on activity, savings, and supplier evaluations.
- Serve as the primary interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders on procurement matters.
Logistics, Warehousing, and Freight Management
- Negotiate competitive rates for local and international transport, freight forwarding, and warehousing.
- Optimize shipping routes, timelines, and service levels with logistics providers.
- Monitor freight and warehousing costs and propose cost-saving initiatives.
- Support the Export and Sales Coordinator to ensure daily tasks align with procurement and logistics priorities.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure all sourced products meet specifications and international standards prior to export consolidation.
- Inspect warehousing quality and compliance with standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and procurement records per internal policies.
- Verify supplier documentation (certificates of origin, MSDS, product specs, etc.) and authenticity.
- Coordinate with legal and risk teams on disputes or breaches; ensure timely resolution.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (shortages, price fluctuations, quality issues).
Claims Management
- Develop and implement claims processes for damaged goods, delays, discrepancies, and lost cargo.
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and insurers to file and resolve claims efficiently.
- Ensure thorough documentation of all claims and timely resolution and compensation.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience and skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience in procurement, office management, and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of the Moroccan FMCG supplier market with proven supplier development and price negotiation success.
- Solid understanding of international trade regulations, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
- Experience managing procurement budgets and cost-control measures.
- Proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Languages: fluency in French and Arabic; strong command of English is essential.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
